Overview


We are seeking a licensed Oregon Intervention System Instructor to author and lead training sessions focused on de-escalation, safety, and intervention techniques for Person Centered Positive Behavior Support Plans. This is a flexible hybrid position.

The ideal candidate:

*MUST BE A CURRENTLY LICENSED OIS INSTRUCTOR

Possess a strong background in behavioral management and conflict resolution, with a passion for empowering others through education and practical skill development.

As an Oregon Intervention System Instructor, you will deliver training programs designed to promote safe and effective intervention practices across various settings, ensuring participants are equipped with the tools necessary to handle challenging situations responsibly and confidently for individuals that have current PPIs in place.

Responsibilities



Deliver timely training of Positive Behavior Support Plans that contain PPIs Maintain detailed records of training activities and participation in accordance with organizational policies and Oregon Administrative Rules. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages active participation, questions, and professional growth. Stay current with updates to the Oregon Intervention System guidelines and incorporate relevant changes into plan and training materials. Collaborate with organizational leadership to schedule training sessions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Promote a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement among all trainees.

Skills



Currently licensed instructor with Oregon Intervention System. Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. Ability to adapt instructional techniques to diverse audiences and learning styles. Excellent organizational skills for planning training sessions and maintaining accurate documentation. University experience or academic background related to education, psychology, or social services is a valuable asset.

Pay: $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 - 20.0 per week
