Role Summary

The Order Fulfillment Associate ensures orders, inventory, and event materials are handled accurately and professionally. This role requires strong attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and prepare books for shipment (quality checks, label removal, correct titles/quantities) Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and on time Keep inventory, purchase orders, and receiving records up to date Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free workspace Email clients with outgoing shipment notifications Support local events and book fairs (booth setup/takedown, book scanning; no cash handling) Set up online inventory for virtual book fairs Flag and escalate any errors, damage, or uncertainty before orders ship

What We're Looking For

Strong attention to detail and follow-through Comfort managing multiple steps and responsibilities Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Willingness to ask questions and escalate issues when unsure Basic computer skills (inventory systems, spreadsheets, email) Ability to lift and move boxes as needed

What Success Looks Like

Orders ship complete, accurate, and on time Inventory and purchase records are current Workspace stays clean and organized Issues are caught early--not after shipment or events

Language Exposure

While this role does not require Spanish fluency, our work environment includes multilingual materials and occasional Spanish-language communication. Comfort hearing or encountering Spanish is a plus.
