Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Position Summary:
To provide surgical support to doctors and excellent patient care.
Pay Range: Based on Experience
$17.00-$22.00/hr
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures current patient records
Assists doctors with exams
Performs X-rays on patients, as needed
Reviews medical history with patients
Ensures proper consent forms are signed by patient and/or guardian
Prepare patient prescriptions accurately
Performs blood pressure checks, EKG monitoring, Pulse Oximeter monitoring
Records accurate anesthesia record charting
Records accurate vital signs
Maintain clear airways on sedated patients; performs suction on sedated patients
Performs post-op patient monitoring, including staying with patient until caretaker arrives
Assist with cleaning and preparing surgical rooms
Provides support for ongoing surgeries
Maintains upmost confidentiality
