Pay range: $21.45-$26.49

Job Summary:

Schedules patients for surgeries, endoscopies and any procedure requiring an anesthesiologist. Coordinates scheduled patients for optimum use of available resources including other departments such as Diagnostic Imaging. Prepares patient charges and performs data entry. Schedulers interact with physicians, physicians' offices, anesthesiologists, OR staff, other departments, and the Director of Surgical Services. High school graduate or equivalency, knowledge of medical terminology, basic computer skills, excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Previous experience scheduling surgical procedures and charge entry as well as knowledge of ORSOS and Meditech programs a plus.
