Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of ocular conditions. The Optometrist will work closely with patients to ensure their eye health and visual needs are met while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose ocular conditions. Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as needed. Provide patient education on eye health, vision care, and the use of prescribed treatments. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient patient management and documentation. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices, technologies, and treatments. Assist in the training of support staff regarding patient care protocols and procedures. Foster a welcoming environment that emphasizes customer service and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state optometry license to practice. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and optical experience. Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and the ability to perform vital sign assessments. Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction. Sales experience is beneficial for promoting optical products and services. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
