Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmology Medical Assistant/Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, manage medical records, and support clinical and administrative operations within a busy medical practice. The job requires the ability to work between the clinic and the surgical center as needed. Experience with EMR systems, data entry with multiple platforms, and knowledge of medical terminology are highly desirable.

Duties



Greet patients and assist with check-in procedures, including intake forms and insurance verification Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Prepare examination rooms using aseptic techniques and ensure cleanliness for each patient Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including ophthalmology Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) and other platforms accurately and efficiently Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations Perform clerical duties such as data entry and inventory management

Requirements



Prior experience in a medical office setting or clinic environment preferred Experience with EMR systems or similar platforms is highly desirable Optical experience or ophthalmology knowledge is a plus, but not required Ability to handle front desk responsibilities, including scheduling and patient communication Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and billing processes Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion for patients

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
