About the job:

Optometric technician work in conjunction with the doctors to perform activities and involving patient care, pretesting, post exam duties, FDT testing and maintain the doctors appointment schedule in a manner that delivers a professional pleasurable patient experience.

Job description:

Conduct preliminary testing and assessments

Performed diagnostic test using specialized equipment to aid in eye examinations

Assist in contact lens fittings, including instructions on insertion ,removal and care

Obtain and maintain accurate, patient records and documentation

Assist doctors to care for patients in a timely and effective manner

Instruct patients and medical care as prescribed by doctor's treatment plan

Respond to patients telephone and email inquiries regarding medication and treatment

Requirements:

High school or GED qualifications

Prior experience, not required, but preferred

Entry-level computer skills

Ability to work successfully in a team environment and individually

Excellent verbal, written communication skills
