We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our optometry practice. Duties

As an Optometric Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with patient intake by gathering medical history and recording vital signs. Performing preliminary eye exams, including visual acuity tests, tonometry, and other diagnostic procedures. Managing medical records and ensuring accurate documentation of patient information. Supporting the front desk with scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries. Collaborating with optometrists to ensure smooth workflow during patient visits. Educating patients on proper contact lens care and eyewear options. Handling medical billing processes as needed, including insurance verification and claims submission. Maintaining equipment and ensuring the cleanliness of the examination area.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in a medical office setting, preferably within optometry or ophthalmology. Familiarity with retail sales practices related to eyewear products. Knowledge of medical records management and billing processes, including experience with Epic software being a plus. A solid understanding of basic anatomy related to the eye and vision care. Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient care and support team collaboration.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
