Overview


American vision center is looking to hire a new office manager to begin in the new year of 2026. We are a small privately owned optometric practice with a long term presence in Littleton. To summarize what our office manager does on a day to day basis, the answer is Everything!

Other than Doctor duties the office manager is knowledgeable about all the inner workings of the office. From managing staff, patients, doctors and reps to working with insurance companies and everything in between. An ideal candidate would have knowledge of front desk work, opticianry, technician work, billing, accounts receivable and exceptional communication and organizational abilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the office while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities



Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes Supervise and train staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Oversee scheduling, including managing appointments and calendar management for the optometrists Handle vendor management and maintain relationships with suppliers for office supplies and equipment Maintain accurate filing systems and clerical records to support office functions Provide front desk support, including managing multi-line phone systems and ensuring excellent phone etiquette. Assist with human resources functions, including onboarding new staff and training & development initiatives.

Experience



Proven experience in office management, preferably in a medical or optometric setting Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively Demonstrated skills in schedule management, organizational tasks, and event planning Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and team collaboration Familiarity with medical office management practices, including filing systems and administrative duties.
