Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented

Optometric Assistant

to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, is comfortable with technology, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and clean clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Work up patients prior to the doctor exam Perform entrance testing and pre-testing procedures Obtain retinal imaging and other diagnostic testing as required Accurately input test results and patient information into the computer system Assist with patient flow to ensure efficient and timely exams Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked before and after each shift Maintain a professional, friendly, and calm demeanor with patients at all times Follow office protocols and support the doctor and team as needed
Qualifications & Skills

Strong

computer skills

and ability to learn new software systems Comfortable with

basic math

and numerical accuracy Excellent attention to detail and organization Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Prior optometry or medical office experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
