Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. As an Optician, you will assist in fitting and dispensing eyewear, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of service and care. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge and customer service skills, making it essential for candidates to be well-versed in optical systems and medical terminology.

Duties

Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescription and lifestyle needs. Measure vital signs related to vision, including pupillary distance and fitting heights. Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record system, Revolution EHR. Collaborate with optometrists to ensure comprehensive patient care. Handle retail sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology. Perform basic administrative tasks within the clinic setting.

Experience

Previous experience as an Optician or in a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in relation to eye care and physiology knowledge. Experience working with pediatric patients or in senior care settings is a plus. Proficiency in medical coding is advantageous but not required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are essential. A passion for retail sales and customer interaction will enhance your success in this role.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
