We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Optical Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients while promoting and selling our products. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail management or sales, particularly within an optical or medical environment, and possess a strong understanding of customer needs. This position will be patient facing and would suit an outgoing, friendly personality.

Duties

Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring that products are well-stocked and displayed effectively. Process transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to company policies and procedures. Educate customers about products, including their features and benefits, particularly in the areas of optometry, optical frames, and ophthalmic lenses. Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting regular stock checks. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive customer information. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance the overall customer experience. Provide support in clinical settings when necessary, including patient intake, as part of patient interactions.

Qualifications

Previous experience in optical sales or retail management is preferred. Familiarity with medical billing processes is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers quickly. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A background in clinic operations or ophthalmology is advantageous but not required. Must be able to work consistent hours, with some flexibility.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
