We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in optical experience, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. As an Optician, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with their eyewear needs, ensuring they receive the highest quality of service.

Responsibilities

Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescriptions and personal preferences. Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and eyewear prescriptions. Utilize EMR systems, for managing patient information efficiently. Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage. Process orders for lenses and frames, ensuring accuracy in specifications. Stay informed about the latest trends in eyewear and optical technology. Adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain a clean working environment. No Vision Insurance Plans Accepted.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:

Experience in retail sales within an optical setting or similar retail environment. Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to eyewear production. Understanding of medical coding and billing practices. Previous experience working with pediatrics or senior care is a plus. Proficiency in retail management and retail math is advantageous.
