Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, experienced Optical Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in optics and optical lab equipment and procedures, with a passion for providing exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities

Must have experience with optical lab equipment such as lensometer, blocker, edger and other related equipment in order to fabricate and finish optical lenses according to specifications. Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of optical equipment. Collaborate with dispensing opticians and optometrists to understand patient needs and provide appropriate solutions. Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Manage inventory levels of optical supplies and materials, ensuring timely replenishment as needed.

Skills

Strong understanding of laboratory techniques related to optical fabrication. Familiarity with laboratory management processes to ensure efficient operations. Solid grasp of anatomy knowledge relevant to eye care and optics. Experience operating equipment for lens shaping and finishing. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
