About Us:

The Dr. Angelo and Alberta Anaclerio Learning and Assessment Center (ALAC) is a dynamic teaching facility that plays a crucial role in training the next generation of healthcare providers. As a Standardized Patient, you'll step into the shoes of diverse individuals, portraying a range of behaviors, emotions, and medical symptoms. We're seeking individuals who are enthusiastic and dedicated to learning about patients, various medical conditions and performance techniques from our Standardized Patient (SP) Educators. While healthcare, acting, or teaching experience is advantageous, it's not a requirement. What truly matters is your commitment to punctuality, reliability, and your willingness to collaborate seamlessly with the ALAC team, fellow SPs, and students.

With several SP positions available; there's room for you to make a significant impact in healthcare education while pursuing your own personal and professional goals.

The SP position is considered part-time as needed. ALAC operates Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm. Typical shifts run from 7:30am-12:00pm and 12:30- 5:00pm. SPs are recruited for shifts based on needs outlined by the faculty for each assessment. SPs are invited to accept shifts within these hours. Applicants may have other daily responsibilities; however, more availability provides more work opportunities. ALAC would need applicants to be available for at least 3 shifts per week.

Ready to Make a Difference?

By becoming a Standardized Patient, you'll not only aid in molding the future of healthcare but also gain a deeper understanding of healthcare practices. This role complements various lifestyles, making it an ideal fit whether you're passionate about education, healthcare, or simply looking to supplement your part-time endeavors.
