We\xe2\x80\x99re seeking qualified Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment safely, productively, and efficiently. This job could require pushing, compacting, grading, loading, or hauling waste or soil; and could require working alone or teaming up with other heavy equipment operators.

Essential Functions:

The following duties are representative of those that Heavy Equipment Operators may be expected to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

\xc2\xb7 Prioritize safety for themselves, coworkers, and all individuals on the job site

\xc2\xb7 Pushing, compacting, grading, loading or hauling of waste and soil

\xc2\xb7 Follow site grading and operations plans, read grade stakes and operate in a medium to fine grade environment

\xc2\xb7 Operate equipment including but not limited to, Excavators, Bulldozers, Loaders, and Backhoes for up to 12+ hours per day

\xc2\xb7 Work independently or with other Heavy Equipment Operators

\xc2\xb7 Quickly and professionally adapt to shifting priorities, client requests, and business needs

Job Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Due to federal safety regulations, candidates must be at least 21 years of age

\xc2\xb7 Receive and maintain OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER (prior to or upon hiring)

\xc2\xb7 Must pass a pre-employment and annual physicals as required under our Medical Surveillance Program, including but not limited to a DOT Physical

\xc2\xb7 Successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug and alcohol screen, and driving record check

\xc2\xb7 Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing, squatting, and kneeling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds or more with assistance

\xc2\xb7 5+ years of related experience preferred (trenching, finish grade, digging around utilities, etc.)

Work Environment:

\xc2\xb7 Frequent travel, including extended out of town travel

\xc2\xb7 Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold, and humidity

\xc2\xb7 May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration

\xc2\xb7 Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety standards, including the occasional use of a respirator
