Leadership:

Must be able to evaluate quickly the type of response requires to satisfy the customer in order to respond timely and accurately to calls PBX operator must plan their work carefully and then organize and implement as appropriate for maximum results.

Human Relations Skills:

Daily interactions with physicians and other, employees, patients, and the general public. Must be positive, concerned and caring with all contacts.

Problem Solving:

Handle large volumes of calls, pages, and initiating various codes with minimum errors. Maintaining a positive attitude in a very stressful environment.

Essential Functions:

To receive and relay incoming, out going and internal calls in an accurate, timely and positive manner, via an electronic console. To operate the internal and external paging and Amcom Systems in an efficient, helpful and courteous manner.

Job Knowledge:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Must possess good keying skills, Must have great communication skills. The incumbent must be proficient in use of the PBX console, Amcom System and paging systems.
Must be capable of learning and activating the proper procedures and the handling of code blue, disaster plan, fire plan, bomb threats and all other disasters manmade or acts of nature.
