Overview:

Spirit AeroSystems designs and builds aerostructures for both commercial and defense customers. With headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, Spirit operates sites in the U.S., U.K., France and Malaysia. Responsibilities:

Provides expertise in production engineering disciplines. Appliesprinciples and practices typically associated with quality engineering,industrial engineering, and manufacturing engineering functions andcoordinates with other support disciplines or core functions asrequired. Develops quality and cost-effective methods, standards, andsystems for production by applying production engineering principles.Leads and participates in long-range technical research on proposedprojects. Provides guidance to less experienced manufacturing supportstaff.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

5-9 years of experience (OR a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience) in manufacturing, continuous improvement, and manufacturing support High School Diploma or GED High level of understanding of composites and manufacturing Experience with Continuous improvement Strong listening skills and a willingness to learn High level understanding of composite fabrication and manufacturing Ability to work cross-functionally Basic computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, navigate through 3-D engineering models)

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree preferred not required. Industry experience a plus. SAP experience is a plus; SAP is utilized daily Manufacturing/shop floor experience is a preferred. Lean and Six Sigma experience Understands RCCA process, can prepare a business case, process improvements
