Position Summary:




This position oversees all aspects of the Operations Teams as defined by the Operations Manager or Director of Operations including, but not limited to Internal Maintenance and Guest amenities such as Valet, Coat Check, Transportation, and Uniforms. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

In this Role:



Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort's "Unsurpassed Service" standards at all times. Conduct frequent inspections of all public areas within the resort in order to maintain a high standard of Guest service and complete inspection forms and reports as required. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the outlined job procedures. Prepare and present performance appraisals to non-exempt Team Members with the approval of the Operations Manager. Assist the Operations Manager in administrative functions in the development of new Supervisors and non-exempt Team Members. Report facility problems and required preventative maintenance. Assist in the design and delegation of job responsibilities. Determine times for deep cleaning and assign duties to ensure completion. Schedule the workforce assigned to each shift to ensure all zones and areas are adequately covered. Assist Job Coaches in the training of all Team Members regarding safety standards and regulations; document and submit records of training to the Operations Manager. Inventory supplies and ensure necessary items are ordered. Maintain a strict key log using proper written records as directed. Ensure all equipment is working and maintained properly. Report all items that are in need of repair immediately. Conduct huddles with Team Members to discuss job functions, teamwork, staff development, concerns, questions, and recognition. Maintain an open-door policy and make time for each Team Member who needs direction. Other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:



Must be 21+ years of age. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred. Must possess a valid Chauffer's license from the State of Michigan and have a clean driving record. Demonstrated intermediate-level knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. Must be able to learn other software applications and apply them to the position. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form. Proven experience in supervising Team Members as well as resolving Guest Opportunities within the Operations Department including Internal Maintenance, Transportation, Uniforms, and Valet. Ability to logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work; initiate well-developed interpersonal skills and have the ability to achieve high standards of performance. Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to express ideas or make recommendations concerning job-related issues, learn specific job duties, complete detailed work assignments, and maintain knowledge of basic concepts and techniques. Demonstrated ability to operate a property-owned vehicle to pick up and drop off VIP Guests as requested. Must have a thorough knowledge of all procedures, policies, equipment, and supplies.

Physical Requirements:



Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. Ability to climb, bend, reach, walk, and stand for the duration of shift. Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment. Requires standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.

Work Conditions:




Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a non-sitting position. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
