Job Overview:



The role of Supervisor, Warehouse Operations is responsible for daily leadership, direction and coordination of warehouse operations and staff. Reporting directly to the Stratus Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the daily activities in the warehouse to include; receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, as well as other operations activities to ensure the proper flow of materials and inventory control to support the Worthington and AirCo Sales Teams.


Primary Job Duties:



Manage day-to-day material operations to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory to ensure a cost-effective flow of activities. Lead, direct, and develop staff to ensure resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met. Optimize warehouse functions. Actively involved in data capturing and audit programs, physical inventory, cycle counting, delivery and non-conforming material flow processes.

Required Qualifications:




High School Diploma or equivalent. Inventory management experience in an aviation-related field required. Experience in logistics including domestic and international shipping. Experience in leading warehouse teams, strong leadership skills required. Experience with Microsoft Office products, strong Excel skills. Familiarity with commercial aviation components and industry practices. Computer proficiency with ERP systems. Quantum Inventory management experience preferred. Ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities as well as in a team environment. Ability to lead and direct warehouse staff to warehouse operations manage projects and parts programs efficiently. Knowledge and understanding of warehouse management concepts and logistics with a focus on planning and organizational skills.

Physical Demands:



Stamina: The ability to perform repetitive motions and stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods is crucial to keep pace with warehouse operations and meet deadlines. Lifting and Carrying: Supervisors must be able to lift and move objects, with some tasks requiring the ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds or more. Mobility: A warehouse supervisor needs to be mobile to navigate the warehouse floor, which involves constant movement and being aware of potential hazards like forklifts and stacked products. Repetitive Movements: Tasks in the warehouse involve repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and packing, which can lead to strain or injury if not managed properly. Awkward Body Posture: Supervisors may need to perform tasks that involve climbing, crawling, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead, potentially for extended periods.

Work Environment:



Varying Temperatures: The work environment may include fluctuating temperatures and working in areas that are not climate controlled. Safety Awareness: The role demands continuous attention to safety, as supervisors are responsible for the health and safety of others and need to be vigilant about hazards. * Dynamic Setting: The environment is active and dynamic, requiring supervisors to be on the warehouse floor to oversee operations and respond to issues.
