The Operations Supervisor is responsible for directing and administering the operational efforts of the branch. He or she ensures that established operational and security policies and procedures are followed and is responsible training, directing, and supervising branch operations staff. The Operations Supervisor ensures that customers are promptly and professionally served and provides general bank information and cross-sells services. In addition, he/she is responsible for business development and marketing of existing and prospective accounts.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
At least three years of experience in retail banking operations (teller/new accounts) required
Knowledge of operations policies, and procedures required
Proven track record of community/civic/trade organization involvement and business development
Supervisory experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional appearance, dress, and attitude
Responsibilities
Ensures that customers' requests and questions are promptly resolved
Establishes and maintains effective and professional business relations with customers and trade professionals
Stays informed regarding changes in lending standards and related legal requirements
Ensures that personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs
Directly supervises branch personnel ensuring that high quality work and efficiency in operations are maintained
Counsels customers regarding their financial needs and services requested
Ensures that operations are conducted in accordance with established Bank policies and with legal and regulatory requirements
Supervises work scheduling and workflow of daily routine operations
Serves as a back-up to the teller and new accounts positions as needed
Compiles and accurately reports all financial data as required by government regulations
Implements changes to established policies and procedures within the branch
Ensures that all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day
Oversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists tellers in resolving balancing problems
Markets and cross-sells other bank products and services
Supervises work scheduling and workflow of branch operations staff
Provides leadership through effective objective goal setting and communication
Maintains the professional reputation of D.L. Evans Bank
Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns
Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required
Serves as a representative for D.L. Evans Bank in the community
