Job Description

American Robotics is seeking an Operations & Purchasing Specialist to support daily manufacturing operations. This role combines purchasing, receiving, inventory coordination, and administrative support for the Director of Manufacturing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hardware environment.

Responsibilities

Purchasing and Supply Chain Support:

Create and track purchase orders in NetSuite. Source parts, assemblies, and consumables for production and R&D. Obtain quotes and support vendor negotiations. Monitor lead times and expedite critical orders. Maintain pricing, vendor data, and part revision.

Receiving and Material Coordination:

Receive and inspect incoming materials and assemblies. Verify quantities, revision levels, certifications, and documentation. Enter receipts in NetSuite and coordinate storage/placement. Support material organization and basic kitting activities.

Manufacturing Operations Support:

Organize and maintain inventory areas, tooling, and consumables. Assist with cycle counts and inventory tracking. Support replenishment of production materials.

Executive Support for Director of Manufacturing:

Manage scheduling, meetings, and communication workflows. Assist with preparing reports, build schedules, and documentation. Coordinate occasional travel arrangements. Interface with vendors, internal teams, and external partners.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with ITAR/EAR compliance. Inventory management or warehouse coordination experience. NetSuite ERP experience. Familiarity with manufacturing, robotics, aerospace, or electronics.

Qualifications

Required:

2-5 years in purchasing, operations, or administrative support. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work onsite in a hardware manufacturing environment. High attention to detail.

Preferred:

Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred). Exposure to export compliance (ITAR/EAR). Vendor management or supply chain experience.
