Operations & Project Manager
Location: Hybrid (Memphis, TN -- mix of in-person and virtual work) Must be flexile to support projects across central, eastern and pacific time zones.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful Operations & Project Manager to support the execution of complex business and community projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, can manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight, and is an exceptional communicator -- both in writing and verbally.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys bringing structure to ideas, connecting with diverse stakeholders, and driving initiatives from concept to completion. The Operations & Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring projects are well-planned, well-documented, and successfully delivered -- while supporting the broader operations and mission of the business.
This position will not have any direct reports and will report to the 2 business owners.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects.
Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear agendas and follow-up actions.
Track milestones, manage deadlines, and ensure timely submission of documents and deliverables.
Monitor project progress, identify potential challenges, and propose solutions proactively.
Operations & Administrative Support
Maintain organization-wide systems for documentation, templates, and recordkeeping.
Support calendar management, meeting coordination, and logistical planning.
Assist in streamlining internal processes and ensuring alignment across departments or partners.
Communications & Material Development
Develop and edit high-quality materials such as business plans, PowerPoint presentations, reports, and executive summaries.
Prepare professional correspondence, memos, and stakeholder updates.
Ensure written materials are accurate, visually appealing, and aligned with brand and organizational tone.
Human Resources & Compliance
Conduct staff trainings, support leader develop sessions
Ensure Regulatory, State and Local compliance requirements are met annually e.g. business contact requirements
Serve as a resource to local site managers
Community Engagement
Coordinate volunteer and community events such as coat drives, school partnerships, and local engagement initiatives.
Build and maintain positive relationships with local organizations, vendors, and community partners.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred (in Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or related field). PMP Certificate preferred
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in a business, nonprofit, or public-sector setting.
Skills & Competencies:
Proven ability to plan, manage, and deliver complex projects on time and within scope.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace tools.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal direction.
Comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders with varying priorities and communication styles.
Work EnvironmentHybrid schedule: 10-20% in-person work in Memphis, TN with flexibility for remote work most of the time.
Some evenings or weekends may be required for community events
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
