Position Overview

We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and optimize project execution. This role requires a hands-on leader with experience in construction, landscaping, and business management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to manage teams, schedules, and budgets efficiently.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Field Operations

Oversee scheduling, coordination, and execution of landscape construction projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage procurement and logistics, including ordering materials and coordinating deliveries. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure safety. Implement and refine operational processes to improve efficiency.

Team Leadership & Management

Lead and support field crews, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure smooth daily operations. Hire, train, and mentor team members, fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence. Oversee workforce scheduling and manage labor distribution across multiple projects. Serve as the point of contact for crew-related concerns, troubleshooting as needed.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

Assist in budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting to maintain project profitability. Work with the estimating team to review bids and ensure accurate job costing. Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and safety standards. Develop and enforce company policies to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of experience in construction, landscaping, or a related field, with 2+ years in a management role. Strong knowledge of high-end residential landscape construction, hardscaping, and project management. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in scheduling software, job costing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read blueprints, manage contracts, and coordinate with subcontractors. Experience in budgeting, purchasing, and vendor negotiations. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
