Temporary Operations Manager - Inventory Liquidation Project (30-45 Day Contract)

The Role: Project Overview

The Temporary Operations Manager will be responsible for the complete physical organization, categorization, and documentation of our $300,000 used equipment inventory currently housed in our yard. This is a

30-45 day, high-intensity project

with a singular goal: transforming unorganized assets into sales-ready inventory to support immediate liquidation events.

This role requires on-site, hands-on leadership and impeccable attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities (Based on Operational Plan)

Project Leadership:

Directly manage and lead the team of 3 Equipment Organizers to execute the 4-Step Inventory Organization System.

Yard Implementation:

Oversee the physical segregation and safety of the yard into five zones (Ready-to-Sell, Needs Repair, Clean & Polish, Scrap/Dump, and Sold Holding).

Classification & Tagging:

Ensure the accurate application of mandatory tags (

RTS, NPR, C&P, TRASH

) to every inventory item.

Data Capture Oversight:

Supervise the detailed data capture for all assets, including: Initial Cost/Book Value, Retail Price (New),

Liquidation Selling Price

, Item Category, and Repair Type/Estimate.

Quality Control:

Personally sign off on the

10-Point "Ready-to-Sell" Quality Check

before any item moves to the customer-facing sales floor.

Reporting:

Coordinate the rapid transfer of all captured inventory data into the master spreadsheet (Excel/Google Sheets) for use by the Sales Department.
Qualifications

Proven experience in operations, logistics, or inventory management, preferably within the commercial equipment, warehouse, or contracting industries. Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage a project timeline effectively. Strong physical presence and comfort managing and directing a small team in an outdoor/warehouse setting. Proficiency in data entry and spreadsheet management (Excel/Google Sheets).

Must be available to start immediately

and commit fully to the 30-45 day contract duration.
