About the Role

A well-established CNC machining and manufacturing operation in De Pere, WI is seeking a highly skilled

Operations Manager / Production Coordinator

to oversee daily shop operations, production flow, and project scheduling. This is a Christian run operation. This position is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that customer orders move smoothly through the production process from start to finish.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will coordinate production schedules, manage workflow between departments, support inventory and material planning, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the shop.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily machining and production operations to ensure smooth workflow Plan, update, and optimize production schedules to meet deadlines and customer requirements Coordinate job routing, capacity planning, and resource allocation across the shop Work closely with machinists, programmers, engineers, and leadership to align priorities Track quality, throughput, and job status to ensure orders stay on schedule Assist with inventory management, purchasing needs, and material availability Maintain production records, job travelers, and shop documentation Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency Support hiring, onboarding, and training efforts for production staff Ensure safety standards and compliance are upheld at all times Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams as needed

Qualifications

------------------

7+ years experience in operations, production coordination, or manufacturing management Prior experience in a CNC machining, fabrication, or precision manufacturing environment strongly preferred Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow planning, and job tracking Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, scheduling tools, and shop management software Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus * Ability to work on-site daily in a hands-on leadership role
