Job Summary:

The Operations Manager oversees all warehouse, routes, transportation, and logistics operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant food distribution. This role leads operational teams, implements standard operating procedures, manages labor and operational costs, and ensures compliance with all applicable food safety, regulatory, and workplace safety requirements. In addition, the Operations Manager serves as a PR Deli ambassador, modeling the company's values, culture, and leadership behaviors, and fostering a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment. The role partners cross-functionally to support operational performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions

Possess strong leadership and accountability.

Demonstrate effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills.

Direct all warehouse, routes, transportation, and logistics operations in Puerto Rico and the USVI.

Oversee quality assurance standards for products, services, and customer experience.

Streamline order fulfillment, picking, packing, and delivery processes.

Develop, implement, and maintain Operations SOPs and procedures.

Track departmental productivity and operational performance.

Develop or adjust roles and positions to meet operational needs.

Monitor daily operational expenses and labor costs.

Design and manage incentive programs aligned with performance.

Create and communicate operational schedules, including holidays and emergency plans.

Ensure consistent, reliable delivery and timely resolution of operational issues.

Maintain accurate inventory records across multiple warehouse sites.

Compliance execution with FDA, USDA (as applicable), HACCP, FSMA, and local health regulations.

Enforce OSHA standards and promote a safety-first culture.

Lead weekly operations meetings and participate in cross-functional meetings.

Maintain accurate operational, safety, and compliance documentation.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this position successfully:

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 60 lbs., occasionally.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including over four (4) consecutive hours.

Ability to push or pull pallets using pallet jacks and move orders or loads via U-boats weighing up to 2,500 lbs., with appropriate equipment.

Ability to work in warehouse, refrigerated, and freezer environments with temperatures ranging from -10F to 40F for extended periods.

Additional Benefits:

Performance Bonus - Based on KPIs and quarterly objectives.

Car Allowance: $12,000 annually, per company policy.

Vacation: 21 days annually, non-accruable

Performance Review: Annual performance and salary review.

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
