SUMMARY:

The Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day front-line functions--including customer service, dispatch, transportation, and warehouse operations--to ensure all shipments are processed, recovered, and dispatched on time. This role plays a key part in meeting critical client deadlines and supporting 24/7 operational needs.

REPORTS TO:

Operations Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the development and tracking of KPIs; analyze and help resolve recurring operational issues Monitor daily shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery within required service windows Coordinate with customers to meet collection needs and provide proactive status updates for full visibility Collaborate with internal teams, external service providers, and independent contractors to ensure seamless logistics and turnaround times Maintain accurate turnover information to support 24/7 coverage requirements Receive, inspect, and stock incoming shipments; verify contents against inbound alerts Perform general property upkeep, including cleaning shared spaces, emptying trash, and replenishing supplies

SKILLS:

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities Self-starter with the ability to work independently

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma/GED; Associates degree or other vocational/technical school training beyond high school is preferred Experience in customer service and/or dispatch operations Prior transportation or logistics experience required Ability to lift up to 30 lbs Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred Experience in same-day delivery is a plus Flexible availability, including weekends and after-hours, to support 24/7 operations
