As an Operations Finance Supervisor, you support the business by providing accurate data and analysis related to product costs, manufacturing and distribution operations, and variances. You will support the existing Powder technologies and products of Industrial Coatings, Automotive OEM, and Refinish strategic teams.
You will be the Operations Finance lead for Grand Haven, West Chicago, and Strongsville, managing finance support and cost management for these manufacturing locations. This will also require the support of month-end closing activities, product costing, and the preparation of the annual manufacturing budget. Additionally, you will be in a supervisory role, having one direct report. Your direct report will help support these Operations Finance tasks across these three sites.
You will work a hybrid schedule from our Pittsburgh Headquarters while supporting these manufacturing sites, with expectation of some on-site visits throughout the year. You will report to the Operations Accounting Manager, Powder and Small Liquid.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and development for one direct employee and leadership to extended Powder operations group.
Provide financial analysis to support Plant Operations Performance:
Preparation and review of periodic financial statements detailing actual manufacturing costs and variances from planned performance.
Provide ad hoc analyses, upon request or as the situation demands, to enhance the financial understanding and, resultantly, decision-making of Operations management and other functions.
Responsible for month-end close activities related to production operations and preparation of internal management reporting.
Prepare the annual manufacturing budgets, detailed by category and cost center for determining the accurate product costs.
Completing the quarterly product re-costs to support accurate inventory valuation and decisions focused on product profitability.
Oversee inventory accounting and physical inventory financial practices for Grand Haven, West Chicago, and Strongsville.
Help with SOX audit compliance and other issues raised by internal and external audit.
Support the Regional Business Unit Finance and Operations leadership.
Support multiple process improvement projects.
Supervisor role includes responsibilities of coaching and oversight of direct report tasks, and promoting their development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
3+ years experience
Outstanding Excel knowledge required.
Up to 25% travel.
