MISA Metal Fabricating, Inc., is seeking a motivated Operations Engineering Intern to join our innovative team. Duties

Process Analysis and Optimization Evaluate and improve production processes, workflows, and operations to reduce waste and increase efficiency Data Collection and Analysis Gather operational data, perform root cause analysis, and analyze performance indicators and support decision making Continuous Improvement Support and implement projects using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, and assist with developing and updating standard work documentation Project Support .Assist with managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of new processes Possess the ability to read, understand, and follow design drawings and instructions as well as the ability to visualize and make improvement devices Follows policies and procedures Complies with EHS requirements Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, Physics, or related field Strong interest or background in Lean Manufacturing Engineering is highly preferred Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge with SolidWorks or similar modeling software Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning new technologies and applying theoretical knowledge practically
Hours are M-F 6am-2pm with flexibility

Job Type: Internship

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
