Position Overview

We're seeking a hands-on, motivated

Operations Assistant

to lead field operations and support our continued growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and wants to be part of a company with real career advancement potential.

You'll play a dual role --

work on moving jobs

(when needed) while overseeing team performance, logistics, and customer interactions. If you're ready to step into a leadership position and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and train crew members to uphold company standards. Manage inventory, truck inspections, and equipment maintenance. Schedule and dispatch moving teams to optimize resources and timing. Perform job site visits and provide on-the-spot problem solving and customer support. Use mobile technology to manage schedules, reports, and communications. Accurately document incidents, damages, or injuries and report them promptly. Lead and participate in residential and commercial moving jobs, ensuring efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay:

$20.00/hour (after training period)

Tip Potential:

Average $5-$10+ per hour in tips -- total potential earnings of $26-$31+/hour

Performance Bonuses:

Monthly and annual performance incentives

Sign-On Bonus:

$250 after completing 90-day probation

Flexible Hours:

15 to 40+ hours/week based on business needs and your availability

Career Advancement:

This role is a direct pathway to Operations Manager and other leadership roles

What We're Looking For

Experience:

Previous supervisory or management experience preferred

Driving:

Valid CA Class C license with at least 6 years of clean driving experience; must be able to drive 26ft box trucks

Age Requirement:

30+ years old (due to vehicle insurance requirements)

Technology:

Comfortable using mobile phones, computers, and iPads

Customer Focused:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Availability:

Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Transportation:

Reliable personal transportation

Works well with others and leads by example
