Job Description


:

In partnership with local system leadership, establishes policy and direction (programs and services) for the results of more than one value stream. Responsible for the execution of Lean techniques and process improvement methodologies in support of the organization\'s financial, quality and patient safety goals. Provides comprehensive support to ensure on time completion of projects in alignment with the organization\'s mission, vision, strategic imperatives and Promise Dashboard targets.

Act as a Liaison, coach, and responsible for developing technical capability at each region. Will lead multiple complex DMAIC and improvement projects across the system. Will co-chair the development of all operational excellence training material, lead training cohorts across the system. Must be able to coach all levels of leadership.

Uses process improvement, six sigma, change management (ADKAR), project management, and analytical methodologies to drive improvements IU Health\'s quality and safety strategic plan, patient experience, and financial goals. Works collaboratively with physicians, local and system leadership, finance, business units, and personnel across the facility(s)/regions to execute these projects. Proactively pursues opportunities for improvement and drives the performance hub to meet or exceed Promise Dashboard and strategic goals. Accountable for developing effective practitioners and training their local leadership in effective performance improvement methods.

  • Bachelors Degree required. Masters preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Lean leadership and change management experience required.
  • Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Requires experience with complex matrix organizations, building trusting relationships, influencing through indirect authority, prioritizing in ambiguous situations and inspiring and aligning diverse stakeholders to achieve a common vision.
