The OR Manager is accountable for quality of care, staffing, budgeting, compliance, and staff development across the surgical department.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage, direct, and supervise all operating room services and patient care activities
Ensure adherence to surgical schedules, policies, procedures, and standards of care
Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies
Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and staff development
Verify employee credentials and maintain required licensure and certifications
Define and maintain standards of nursing practice in the operating room
Serve as a patient advocate and safety monitor during surgical procedures
Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and other departments to enhance patient care and staff development
Plan, develop, and manage the OR budget; monitor cost-effectiveness and resource utilization
Ensure proper function, maintenance, and cost-conscious use of equipment and supplies
Initiate and maintain policies and procedures governing nursing and OR services
Foster a positive, efficient work environment and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Represent the center in meetings, committees, and professional nursing organizations
Support quality improvement initiatives and research efforts that enhance nursing practice
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to Universal Precautions
Maintain regular, predictable on-site attendance
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
Five (5) years of operating room nursing experience
Two (2) years of clinical supervisory experience in a surgical setting
BLS and ACLS certification required
CNOR certification, preferred
PALS certification, preferred
