Job Summary and Qualifications

Shift: 2pm-10pm 2-3 days/week, rotating weekends

The Operating Room Assistant helps with patient care needs, including the transport of patients, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and members of the health care team.

What will you do in this role:

• You will assist as a member of the surgical team in patient positioning, supply readiness and location
• You will individualize pre-op, intra-op, and post-op planning and preparation to meet the needs of each patient
• You will provide terminal cleaning between cases
• You will facilitate smooth and efficient transitions between surgical procedures
• You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment

What qualifications you will need for this role:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. and American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR
• Preferred Registration, Licensure or Certification
• Completion of a nurse assistant training program (CNA) preferred
• One year of college or currently enrolled in a college degree program preferred
