We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Opening/Closing Manager to assist in or solely lead operations during key hours of the day. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily store functions, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining operational excellence. As an energetic leader, you will coordinate opening and closing procedures, supervise team members, and uphold store standards to create a fantastic experience for our customers. Your proactive approach will drive sales, optimize inventory management, and foster a positive work environment that motivates staff and delights customers alike.
Duties
Lead the opening and closing of the store, ensuring all procedures are executed efficiently and accurately
Supervise and motivate team members during shifts, providing guidance on customer service, sales techniques, and operational tasks
Coordinate employee orientation, training & development to ensure staff are knowledgeable about store policies, POS systems, and safety protocols
Oversee cash handling, cashiering operations, and store security measures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with company policies
Manage inventory control including stocking, merchandising, pricing adjustments, and stock replenishment to maximize sales opportunities
Conduct employee interviews and participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong team aligned with company values
Monitor metrics such as sales targets, budgeting, and sales management to meet or exceed performance goals
Oversee purchasing decisions and vendor relations to ensure optimal inventory levels and cost-effective procurement
Implement marketing initiatives at the store level to promote sales events or new product launches
Maintain excellent communication with staff by providing clear instructions on phone etiquette, organizational procedures, and customer service standards
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations while fostering a welcoming environment for both employees and customers
Requirements
Proven management experience in restaurant environments with supervisory or assistant manager roles preferred
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer bases
Demonstrated experience in retail sales management, inventory control, POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising practices
Skilled in employee orientation, interviewing techniques, training & development strategies
Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally via phone or in-person with excellent phone etiquette
Organizational skills with keen attention to detail for shift management and store operations oversight
Experience with marketing initiatives is advantageous
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during opening/closing shifts efficiently
