We're launching a new, community-first specialty coffee shop in the North Metro and are hiring an
Opening General Manager
to lead the build and day-to-day execution from day one.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in building a high-performing team, maintaining consistent quality, and creating a guest experience that earns loyal regulars. You'll work closely with ownership to establish the standards, systems, and culture that define the shop.
The Role
As our Opening General Manager, you'll be responsible for the full execution of daily operations while helping shape the foundation of the business.
You will:
Lead daily operations with a focus on speed, hospitality, and consistency
Hire, train, coach, and retain a high-performing barista team
Build scheduling and labor practices that align staffing with projected sales
Ensure product quality and service standards are consistently executed
Implement systems for opening/closing, prep, cleanliness, and workflow
Partner with ownership on menu development, operational improvements, and growth plans
Create a culture where guests feel recognized, welcomed, and eager to return
Who You Are
You're an experienced coffee operator and leader who knows that great shops are built on strong standards, clear training, and disciplined execution.
You:
Have experience in coffee or specialty beverage operations (leadership role preferred)
Lead by example and are comfortable being on the floor with your team
Build teams through training, accountability, and positive culture
Drive consistency through clear standards, checklists, and coaching
Understand prime cost, labor scheduling, and the basics of P&L thinking
Bring calm, solutions-focused leadership under pressure
Compensation & Upside
Base salary: $65,000-$70,000
(based on experience)
Performance incentives + profit sharing
