Local Hero is seeking a performance-driven and data-obsessed O&O Media Manager/Buyer to join our Paid Media team!

This position is remote (hybrid available if within commuting distance to Boulder, CO) and open to candidates living in:
Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wyoming, Washington DC, and Puerto Rico

A Day in the Life:
Drive lead generation strategy across O&O properties, with a focus on maximizing high-intent consumer leads (calls and form fills).
Optimize campaigns not just for ROI but for quality and volume of leads, ensuring alignment with sales team requirements.
Strategically manage media buying initiatives across Local Hero's Owned & Operated websites
Hourly monitoring of all key paid media platforms to ensure strong performance - this is a direct response/performance-based media buying role
Own the planning, execution, and optimization of hands-on-keyboard media buys to ensure positive ROI on a daily basis
Work closely with internal teams to optimize media, creative and landing page performance for key verticals (insurance, home services, and more)
Analyze and report on media spend ROI, creative performance, audience segmentation, conversion paths, and overall revenue performance
Partner with ad networks, DSPs, and third-party media providersto secure inventory and expand reach
Continuously A/B test ad creatives, placements, and targeting strategies
Here's what you need to get our attention:
3+ years of hands-on experience in performance marketing or media buying, ideally across O&O properties
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field
Proven success in lead generation media buying, with deep experience in CPL, CPA, and pay-per-call models.
Proven track record of multi-platform budgeting and ROI-driven buying across DSPs, Google Ads, Meta, and affiliate traffic sources
Experience with monetization models like CPC, CPA, and CPL.
Familiarity with tracking platforms like Google Analytics, GTM, Everflow, and other attribution tools and experience retargeting across platforms.
Comfortable being hands-on-keyboard across multiple ad platforms and optimizing for conversion rates and revenue targets
Experience with keyword generation, negative keyword exclusion, and search term report analysis
Understanding of platform campaign objectives and bidding strategies
Strong analytical skills experience including audience segmentation and demographic analysis
Superior excel expertise in modeling and pivot tables for daily data analysis

Experience managing 6-figure monthly ad budgets with profitable outcomes in direct response or performance industry
Deep understanding of affiliate traffic sources, media arbitrage, and site monetization
Ability to move quickly, prioritize ruthlessly, and document results clearly
Previous work in insurance, home services, or lead-gen verticals is a major plus
Entrepreneurial drive and a love of testing, learning, and scaling

Base Salary:
$65,000-$75,000/year DOE + bonus
