What you bring to SBHG:
---------------------------
Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
Associate degree in nursing or social sciences preferred.
(1) year nursing experience required, preferably treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for a portion of work experience.)
(1) year medication administration experience preferred.
Valid California LVN or LPT license required.
How you will make a difference:
Visually and audibly observes, documents in writing, and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Program Manager and the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
Orders, prepares, administers, and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physicians' or nurse practitioners' orders.
Monitors and maintains appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for shift worked.
Communicates pertinent information verbally and in writing to all team members.
Assists in crisis intervention (including the use of Pro-ACT) and provides support and assistance in problem resolution. Uses Pro-ACT to appropriately intervene with assaultive/volatile clients.
Reads and responds to company communications via email, telephone, or other selected mode within a reasonable timeframe.
Logs into established company information sharing sites regularly to maintain current knowledge of changes in policy, procedure, events, etc..

24/7 inpatient voluntary program
16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59)
Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
Medication evaluation and support services
