We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Hospice Nurse to provide comprehensive end-of-life care to patients in a home or clinical setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary teams. The Hospice Nurse will be responsible for delivering holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, ensuring comfort and dignity for patients during their final stages of life. Mountain Ridge Hospice provides end-of-life care for our patients and their loved ones. We work with patients and their families to provide comfort while preserving their dignity in the face of terminal illness.

We are looking for an RN to be on call Monday-Thursday from 4pm to 8:30am the next day. You can also pick up a weekend or 2 a month if desired. This position will require you to triage calls that come in. This position will pay $4 an hour to be available and to triage calls. We are a very small agency and therefore there are not a lot of calls that come in during those times. If there is an emergency visit required, the rate will be $40 during the visit.

Duties

Manage complex symptom control such as acute pain management, airway management, and sedation protocols. Provide wound Educate patients and families on disease progression, medication regimens, nutrition, and advanced directives. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation. Engage in infection control practices to prevent healthcare-associated infections. Support patients with diverse needs including geriatrics, dementia care, behavioral health issues, or those with disabilities such as developmental disabilities or traumatic injuries.

Experience

Familiarity with a broad range of medical conditions including Alzheimer's/dementia care, infectious disease care, cardiology, nephrology, and geriatrics. Excellent communication skills for working with patients of all ages
