We are seeking a skilled Solar O&M Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and experience in the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems. This role requires a solid understanding of both high voltage and low voltage systems, as well as the ability to read schematics and blueprints. The Technician will work within a solar utility site, ensuring that the systems are working efficiently and safely.
Duties
Use LOTO in order to find faults and troubleshoot and repair.
Knowledge of SCADA
Install, maintain, and repair solar energy systems according to industry standards and safety regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation.
Work with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, adhering to NEC guidelines.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining quality standards.
Conduct fixture installations and perform routine maintenance checks on solar equipment.
Experience
Proven experience working within a power utility site, preferably with solar or wind.
Previous Inverter, Substation experience a must!
Familiarity with electrical systems, including high voltage, low voltage, plumbing, and fixture installation.
Strong emphasis on safety practices.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and forklifts effectively.
Previous experience in solar energy system installation is a plus but not mandatory.
