The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering currently has 44 faculty members and an enrollment of about 1900 undergraduate and 260 graduate students. The Department offers ABET accredited B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering; M.S., Master of Engineering, and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Materials Science and Engineering. Also, the B.S. and the M. Eng degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering are offered. The Department has research focus areas in Advanced Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Mechanics, Vibrations, & Acoustics, Robotics & Controls, and Thermal-Fluids & Energy. Job Overview
The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MME) in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Cincinnati invites tenured candidates at the rank of full professor to apply for the endowed Ohio Eminent Scholar and L. W. Scott Alter Chair Professor in Advanced Manufacturing position. The position is intended for a senior faculty member with an extensive track record of research excellence who will be able to push the envelope of manufacturing to address new challenges in the field. The position benefits from a generous chair endowment, reduced teaching load consistent with the research focus of the position, and a competitive salary commensurate with candidate experience.
