Pay range: $17.75 + $5.09 per hour worked Health & Welfare Benefit in cash

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for cleaning assigned areas within federal contract buildings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform basic custodial duties in a timely, safe and professional manner. Vacuum, dust mop, sweep, and wet mop floors. Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures and supply with paper and soap products. Empty trash in assigned areas. Secure liners to contract specifications. Dust and clean walls, windows, woodwork and above floor surfaces. Dust, clean and polish furniture. Clean elevators and stairwells. Observe proper safety precautions in use of equipment and supplies. Work with all cleaning chemicals in a safe manner. Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position. Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers and participants. Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Previous custodial experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Must be able to work effectively in a secure, confidential area Must be able to understand and follow training instructions Must be able to work with mild cleaning chemicals, utilizing proper personal protective equipment in a safe manner

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Light

Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Moderate

Occasionally exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)
