Job Description

Cam Security, Inc. is looking for a reliable, customer-focused Office & IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people over the phone, solving basic technical issues, and keeping an office running smoothly. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, so professionalism and strong communication skills are a must.

The Office & IT Support Specialist provides front-line customer service and Tier 1 technical support. You will answer incoming calls, help customers with basic troubleshooting, and schedule service appointments for our IT, Alarm, Access Control, and Camera departments. This role also supports general office operations and requires strong multitasking skills.

ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Call Handling



Answer incoming calls (must be able to pick up within 2-3 rings). Provide friendly, professional support to customers and route calls to the correct department. Assist customers with basic troubleshooting before escalating to a technician. Document all interactions in our CRM system.

Tier 1 Technical Support



Assist with: Remote viewing issues (mobile/computer) Footage retrieval Basic DVR/NVR or network troubleshooting Schedule IT service calls when escalation is needed. Perform basic NVR/IP camera setup prior to installation.

Scheduling & Coordination



Schedule service appointments for IT, Alarm, Access Control, and Camera departments. Track open tickets and follow up with customers and technicians. Communicate clearly and professionally between departments.

Office & Administrative Support



Support daily office operations, including opening/closing the showroom. Prepare and update system monitoring reports. Assist management with administrative tasks and special projects.

Qualifications



Required:



1-2 years of customer service or call center experience Strong phone communication skills Ability to multitask in a busy environment Basic computer literacy and comfort learning new systems

Preferred (not required):



Experience in Tier 1 tech support or help desk Familiarity with networking basics (IP addresses, Wi-Fi, modems/routers) Experience with DVR/NVR or camera systems CRM or ticketing system experience
