Family-owned local business is seeking a reliable, hands-on office manager to help keep our organization running smoothly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive and comfortable wearing the many hats of an office generalist- from customer communication to bookkeeping and supporting our staff. This person should enjoy working with people to create and maintain efficient systems while exhibiting attention to detail in a dynamic small-business environment.
Duties
Oversee daily office operations and supervise staff with professionalism and warmth while managing the company calendar and scheduling.
Handle vendor management by negotiating contracts, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely procurement of supplies.
Oversee bookkeeping using QuickBooks, payroll processing using Gusto, and assist with company budgeting to maintain financial accuracy and accountability.
Coordinate human resources functions such as onboarding new employees, maintaining personnel files.
Maintain office safety standards and ensure a clean, organized workspace conducive to productivity.
Experience
Proven supervisory experience in office management or administrative roles within a professional setting.
Proficiency in QuickBooks for bookkeeping and payroll management is essential.
Strong written and verbal communication to ensure excellent customer service.
Experience in vendor management, contract negotiations, and budgeting processes.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Sheets and Docs, and Gmail.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 - 45.0 per week
