We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager / Bookkeeper to oversee daily office operations and manage financial records. This role requires a proactive individual with strong administrative, bookkeeping, and team management skills to ensure the smooth functioning of our office environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in office management, human resources, and financial processes, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day office operations, including front desk duties and multi-line phone systems
Supervise administrative staff and coordinate training & development initiatives
Handle bookkeeping tasks using Sage, including invoicing, expense tracking, and financial reporting
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement processes
Administer payroll processing and human resources functions such as employee records and benefits administration
Maintain organized filing systems for records, correspondence, and other documentation
Ensure effective communication within the team through phone etiquette and clear correspondence
Qualifications
Strong bookkeeping skills with proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a must
Proven experience in office management, administrative support, or clerical roles
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking abilities
Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, vendors, clients, and stakeholders
Familiarity with human resources functions such as employee onboarding and record keeping
Prior experience in bookkeeping and office management.
Ability to handle front desk responsibilities including multi-line phone systems
This role is integral to maintaining an efficient office environment while supporting financial health and team cohesion. We welcome candidates who are proactive problem-solvers with experience in bookkeeping.
Hours would be Monday - Friday from noon until 4 PM, some flexibility available.
