Overview




Office Associate (Construction Management) Essential Functions:

Performs office administrative support work of considerable variety that requires independent judgment;


schedules and prepares agenda of meetings; sorts, processes and distributes mail; answers/screens


telephone calls; photocopying, scanning and filing of records; answer questions requiring knowledge of District


and departmental activities, rules, policies and procedures; prepare correspondence, memos, minutes of


meetings and other documents; maintain records and files; effective and consistent communications with


contractors/suppliers; maintain accounting records of appropriations and expenditures; knowledge of purchase


requisitions and purchase orders; collect, update and maintain information within Oracle as required for project


tracking.



Additional Responsibilities:

May assist in budget preparation; maintains employee records; requisitions supplies; performs related work as


required or as delegated by supervisor.

Training and Experience:

four (4) years of administrative support experience. + Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



Considerable knowledge of office support methods, practices and equipment; good knowledge of Microsoft


Office products; good knowledge of office management principles and practices; good knowledge of records


retention; considerable skill in operating office equipment (50 NWPM); considerable skill in filing and


maintaining complex records; considerable skill in preparing reports; considerable skill with accounting


principles and mathematics; ability to work independently without specific instructions; ability to establish and


maintain effective working relationships with District employees and the public.



SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:



Pursuant to MSD's "Substance Abuse Policy and Procedures," this position has been designated as

non-


safety sensitive

and candidate must pass a Non-D.O.T. Drug Test for this position. Employees occupying this


position are not subject to Federal (D.O.T.) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations.



Employees of MSD must have a "Meets Expectations" on their current performance review.

Office Associate



Training and Experience:

Graduation from high school or equivalent,

AND

four (4) years of administrative support experience. Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides.

Training and Experience:

Graduation from high school or equivalent,

AND

four (4) years of administrative support and/or central files work. Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides.


Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:





Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of a centralized records and filing system;

good knowledge of modern office methods and procedures; skill in operating a variety of office equipment and

related software; skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others; skill in

maintaining records and preparing reports.



Office Associate (Operations)



Training and Experience:





Graduation from high school or equivalent,

AND

four (4) years of administrative support

experience.

Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides.



Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:





Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, varied responsibilities, and off site assistance; ability to work

independently; considerable skill and knowledge of Microsoft Office products; ability to analyze information and

reach decisions; considerable skill compiling data, preparing and maintaining reports; good knowledge of office

management principles and practices; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with

District employees.



Office Associate (Permit)



Training and Experience:

Graduation from high school or equivalent,

AND

four (4) years of in administrative support and/or construction work. Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides.


Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



Good knowledge of District ordinances, rules and regulations concerning sewer connections; good knowledge

of department rules and regulations; considerable skill in the use of basic business mathematics; working

knowledge of construction principles, practices, materials and equipment; knowledge of Microsoft Office

products; Considerable skill in operating office equipment (50 NWPM); ability to form and maintain effective

working relationships with employees and the general public; ability to maintain records and prepare reports.



Office Associate (Environmental Compliance)



Training and Experience:

Graduation from high school or equivalent,

AND

four (4) years of administrative support experience. Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides.

Considerable knowledge of office support methods, practices and equipment; good knowledge of Microsoft
