Summary:




Receives all incoming calls, greets guests and supports team member; performs duties in a guest service friendly, efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior team member, guest and vendor relations. This position will perform additional data entry duties: such as conducts reviews of vault (cage) and occasionally related money handling departments to determine accuracy of financial information, and once information is determined to be correct, performs accounting functions and maintains records in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), established policies and procedures, Tribal, State and NIGC requirements.

Essential Functions:



Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of caller, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Oversees clerical task of sorting and sending mail. Responsible for coordinating and making travel arrangements for all casinos team member. Coordinates schedule for Gaming HQ conference room. Maintains mailer machine for postage. Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable. Greets guests and provides information as requested, and ensures all information is accurate. Maintains information on current promotions or special events in order to answer questions from guests. Occasionally reviews and verifies revenue center type documents such as Food & Beverage, Sweet Shop, Hotel, Lounge and Spa documents for completeness and accuracy. Occasionally enter daily revenues into computerized revenue journal. Prepares reports of revenues and cash transactions. Prepares daily cash journals for items like Kiosks, Global, ATM, etc. Maintains various files and schedules in good order to support the accounting system. Verifies cashier returns, identify variances, jackpot verifications and entering detail information on jackpots into tax filing system. Track and record promotional prize award. Completes Exception reports and distributes to management when necessary and document errors are found during review process. Operates and maintains office equipment, including but not limited to: computer, programmable telephone system, programmable fax and multiuse photocopier. Must maintain confidentiality. Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):



Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. One (1) year of experience as a receptionist, secretary or similar capacity in a business office preferred. Must successfully pass the 10key administered test with at least 60% or higher. Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language. Must be detailoriented. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be computer literate with proficiency in Windows based programs. Ability to perform tasks with speed and accuracy. Must have strong communication skills. Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends. Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and nonverbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language. Ability to work various hours including evenings, holidays, weekends and overtime. Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training upon hire and annually. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:



Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to occasionally walk or stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to occasionally bend, squat and reach. Ability to frequently bend, squat and reach. Ability to frequently push and pull 10 pounds. Ability to seldom push and pull 50 pounds. Ability to be given verbal and written instruction and apply the instruction accurately. Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice nonverbal behavior. Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on telephone conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts. May be exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment. May be exposed to tobacco smoke, fumes or airborne particles.
