Office Assistant/intake Coordinator

Job Description

Omnia Healthcare is a home health company that services the Central Valley. We are looking for someone who is flexible and that can fluctuate between being an office assistant and intake coordinator.

The assistant in the office will be contacting the primary care physician's office to acquire the MD signature. The orders then have to be attached to the corresponding chart. All our charts are electronic, as well as our faxes.

An intake coordinator accepts home health referrals from discharge planners from the hospitals, various healthcare centers, and doctors' offices. Referrals then need to be entered in our computer system and primary care physicians need to be verified. Often times the intake coordinator contacts the patients or patient's family member to schedule the start of care date for the clinician. Depending on the type of insurance, letters of agreements may have to be obtained.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, providing excellent customer service, and phone etiquette is a must. Being able to speak Spanish will be an asset to our company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
