Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented individual to join our Office team. This role is critical to the success of our laboratory operations and is well suited for someone who can quickly assume ownership of established workflows, build deep familiarity with our systems, and expand their impact over time by helping refine and improve those processes.
The ideal candidate will receive knowledge transfer from transitioning team members and is expected to become an independent contributor shortly thereafter. As proficiency is gained, this position offers opportunities to help refine workflows, strengthen data integrity, and contribute to system and process improvements over time.
Position Type:
Full-time (35-40 hours/week)
Environment:
Typical office setting with minimal exposure to laboratory environment. Some work in the storage facility that requires accessing samples stored on moving shelves, requires ladder-use.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the intake, tracking, and documentation of client samples within the laboratory information management system, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality
Serve as a primary internal resource for sample status, coordinating with lab staff, and responding to client inquiries as appropriate
Manage the retrieval, storage, and organization of client samples in accordance with established procedures
Prepare and manage test materials, labels, and documentation required for testing
Enter, review, and validate data to generate reports of analysis
Maintain organized and audit-ready records for billing, reports, and sample documentation
Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory management of office and laboratory supplies
Ensure data integrity across systems by identifying discrepancies and resolving issues proactively
Adhere to all safety, quality, and standard operating procedures to support compliant lab operations
Actively contribute to quality management initiatives, including reviewing, updating, and improving SOPs, workflows, and training materials
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve documentation, and enhance overall operational efficiency
Qualifications (Required):
High school diploma or GED required
Strong proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the ability to learn new software systems
Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and accountability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities
Comfortable working across office and laboratory environments and able to lift or move sample materials as needed (up to 25 lbs)
Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications (Preferred):
Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional experience)
Experience with LIMS or databases and quality management systems
Familiarity with the agriculture field, seasonal workflows, or client expectations within the agriculture industry
