OCCUPATION: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/CUSTOMER SERVICE
LOCATION: MILWAUKEE, WI
JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the supervision of the Area Manager the Administrative/Customer Service Rep is responsible for answeringphones, generating packing lists, bills of lading and shipping labels. Enter data, createreports, and maintain records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Welcome visitors and answer phones. Make copies, file, and email information tointernal or external customers. Create folders for shop instructions.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding delivery information, status of jobs, ship dates,packing lists, etc.
Enter data, produce spread sheets, and prepare reports as required. Keep appropriaterecords for inventory management.
Data entry of orders into SAP system.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints. Institute tracers of lost orders and/orshipments when necessary. Process freight claims.
Generate packing slips, bills of lading and hazmat documents for shipments. Schedule trucks and record trucking information into log.
Cross trainable. Good communication skills.
Promote and contribute to a positive, cooperative working environment.
OCCASIONAL DUTIES: Maybe temporarily assigned to perform other tasks requiringcomparable or lesser skill levels.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma plus three years related experience. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft software, Word, Excel, Access SAP, and PowerPoint. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Generally, the work is performed in an office setting. Occasionally, the employee will be required to work in the shop and be exposed to fumes and temperatures that will vary due to weather conditions.
